Cooperative Business Services Successfully Completes SOC 2® Examination

Cincinnati, OH – April 29, 2026 – Cooperative Business Services (CBS), a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) specializing in commercial lending solutions, today announced the successful completion of its System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2® examination.

The SOC 2® examination, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), evaluates an organization’s controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

This independent assessment affirms that CBS has implemented and maintains effective controls designed to safeguard client data and support reliable service delivery. The examination was conducted by an independent third-party auditing firm in accordance with AICPA standards.

“At CBS, protecting our clients’ data and maintaining their trust is a top priority,” said Candice Smart, Chief Information Security Officer at Cooperative Business Services. “Successfully completing our SOC 2® examination underscores our ongoing commitment to strong governance, risk management, and security practices.”

The completion of the SOC 2® examination reinforces CBS’ dedication to supporting credit unions and commercial real estate borrowers with secure, dependable lending solutions.
